Birken Manufacturing fabricates, assembles and tests machined stator assemblies, which are used as componets in aircraft engines. During the fabrication of the assemblies, several processes were utilized including CNC turning, CNC milling, super abrasive machining, OD grinding, and welding. We also performed lapping, deburring, electrical discharge machining (EDM), shot peening, and stress relieving. Made of Inconel 718, the final assembly has a width of 9.900" and height of 6.000". While holding tolerances down to ±.004", we achieved a true position of .014". To ensure the highest level of quality, we performed dimensional and fluorescent penetrant inspections.  Other testing required included air flow and pressure tests.  To learn more about our products and services, please contact Birken Manufacturing.
